We took over a shop in the town's main road to be accessible to all in Larkhall’s community making the building and ourselves as available as we can. Come along on Sunday mornings at 10.30 and find out what church CAN be like – Personal, Practical, Powerful and Pentecostal.
Pastor Bob Paterson and his wife Terry have been leading the church since January ’05. Bob retired from a 25-year career with Strathclyde Police in 2000. He is an ordained Minister with Assemblies of God in Britain. In 2009 he was appointed the leading role for faith in Lanarkshire’s 'local prison' HMP Addiewell.
Like Bob, Terry left a local authority career in 2000 to give her time to working with prisoners, ex offenders and their families. She is employed by Prison Fellowship Scotland as Operations Director and any given week finds her taking groups in several of Scotland's prisons.
What can you do to find out more?
Well why don't you visit our Sunday meeting in The Church At The Cross
If you like, we can arrange a chat. You’ll get all the background information and how things have developed with The Church At The Cross.
Everyone will do what they can for anyone who comes along. You might know a lot, little, or nothing about Church, Christianity or Christ himself – no matter what, come and get involved. Be part of what we want to develop into for the benefit of Larkhall.
AOG PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of Assemblies of God is to give every man, women and child the opportunity of understanding the gospel and to provide a church where they can grow in ministry for the glory of God
We all have something we love doing and can do well. As we use our gifts and skills to help the local church grow and develop, this is our service. The model of church Jesus left us with was of a body of people who are willing to use their gifts to serve each other and build community.
